Ninety percent of Hungarians heading abroad use the web to plan their trip while 48 percent get information from travel agency catalogues. Just over 40 percent make inquiries from friends and acquaintances.
Half of respondents have booked hotel rooms, 45 percent purchased air tickets and 41 percent paid for cultural services -- for instance, concert tickets -- over the internet.
Thirty one percent prefer to make their travel arrangements on Hungarian-language sites while 47 percent cited the price as the most important factor determining their choice.
